Since 2019, the Josef Wund Foundation, together with the Baden-Württemberg Foundation, has supported talented students on their path to the Abitur or university of applied sciences entrance qualification through the Talent im Land (TiL) scholarship program. Particularly gifted young people receive financial support, career guidance, and access to a wide range of educational opportunities.
The Talent im Land scholarship program supports talented students from Baden-Württemberg who face social barriers on their journey to obtaining the Abitur or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification. Financial assistance, a comprehensive seminar program, and individual mentoring help participants develop their talents and take charge of their future. Each year, students from across Baden-Württemberg can apply online for one of around 50 scholarships through a competitive selection process.
Talent im Land was established in 2003 by the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation to promote equal educational opportunities for talented young people. Until 2022, both foundations jointly supported the scholarship recipients. Since 2019, the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Josef Wund Foundation have been responsible for the program, whose success is reflected in the personal achievements of around 1,000 alumni.
Students of all secondary school types from Grade 7 onwards are eligible to apply if they are working towards the Abitur or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification, will obtain their qualification no earlier than two school years from the time of application, and are no older than 21 years of age when applying.
