Undine Award – Prize for Water-Related Projects

Since 2022, the Josef Wund Foundation has been presenting the Undine Award under the motto “Water for Humanity”. The award carries a total annual prize fund of €60,000 and is presented in the three categories Source of Life, Habitat, and Joy of Life to institutions, projects, or companies. The call for entries and nomination process is coordinated through national and international experts from the broad field of water-related topics.

Wundine Swimming Academy

In 2021, the Josef Wund Foundation launched the Wundine Swimming Academy. It is a modular training and professional development program currently focused on improving the swimming skills of kindergarten and primary school children. Designed as a sustainable initiative with strong local partnerships, the long-term goal of the Wundine Swimming Academy is to promote and preserve swimming as an essential life skill. The project currently consists of two modules: Wundine at School and Wundine on Wheels.

Talent in the Countryside – Scholarship Program

Since 2019, the Josef Wund Foundation, together with the Baden-Württemberg Foundation, has supported talented students on their path to the Abitur or university of applied sciences entrance qualification through the Talent im Land (TiL) scholarship program. Particularly gifted young people receive financial support, career guidance, and access to a wide range of educational opportunities.

Jugend forscht – Special Award and Scholarship

In 2023, the Josef Wund Foundation expanded its commitment to supporting young people with a focus on its guiding theme: water. For an initial period of three years, the Foundation is partnering with the German youth science competition Jugend forscht and annually awards the special prize "The Power of Water" at the state-level "Jugend forscht" or "Schüler experimentieren" competitions. Prize winners can subsequently apply for the "JWS Water Expert Scholarship" if they pursue a degree program with a focus on water-related topics.

Funding Partnership with the Stiftung Kinder forschen Foundation

Since autumn 2022, the Josef Wund Foundation has been supporting the STEM education initiative “Foundation for Little Scientists” (formerly “Little Scientists’ House”) as a funding partner with a total contribution of €75,000 over three years. To implement the STEM program in the Lake Constance–Upper Swabia, Sigmaringen and Lindau regions, a new partnership has been established: the Academy for Continuing Scientific Education (AWW) at Weingarten University of Education as the regional network partner, together with the Ravensburg District Community Foundation and the Josef Wund Foundation as funding partners.

Wund Wish Initiative

Since 2019, the Josef Wund Foundation has supported charitable organizations and community projects around the three spa locations of the Josef Wund Group in Euskirchen, Sinsheim, and Titisee-Neustadt through its WundWunsch Campaign. The nonprofit initiatives and projects are nominated and selected by employees of the local spas.

Funding Partnership with Undine Syndrome Association

As part of its Health funding initiative, the Josef Wund Foundation focuses on prevention and quality of life. Through a dedicated sponsorship program, the Foundation is supporting the Undine Syndrome Self-Help Group (Undine-Syndrom e.V.) with an initial grant of €5,000, to be followed by additional funding for medical research.

Josef Wund Sinsheim Model: Open Learning Spaces Project

Since 2019, the Josef Wund Foundation has supported the Josef Wund Sinsheim Model and, since 2021, the FreiRäume project to strengthen and expand sustainable programs and services in family education, child protection, integration, and community engagement.
