The Joseph Wund Foundation is operated in the legal form of a non-profit GmbH i.L. with its seat in Stuttgart. 

The legal successor will be the Joseph Wund Foundation of civil law, founded in February 2026. The foundation was founded by the successful architect and entrepreneur Joseph Wund, with the aim of allowing society to participate in his economic success and setting valuable impulses. Water became the leitmotif of the foundation. 

Joseph Wund looked back on a long, successful working life when he founded the foundation in 2015. From his professional beginnings in his hometown of Friedrichshafen to his international reputation as a multitalent, it was a long and often difficult path for Joseph Wund. What he achieved is primarily due to his work ethic, his wealth of ideas, and his skill and courage as a company leader. Nevertheless, Mr. Wund was always aware that he would not have achieved his goals without the favor of his customers, who used the buildings he designed or built, visited his spas, or took advantage of his services. 

His biographical experiences, as well as his gratitude towards his customers, business partners, and employees, prompted Joseph Wund, in close consultation with his wife and two children, to establish the Joseph Wund Foundation. Mr. Wund wanted to express his faith in the future and inspire a desire for achievement. The Joseph Wund Foundation sends clear impulses into society, provides incentives, offers support, and helps those who want to make the best of their lives for themselves and others with a strong will to perform. 
Aus diesen Quellen speiste sich die Leitidee zur Förderung von Menschen, die unverschuldet unter ungünstigen Voraussetzungen in ihr Schul- oder Berufsleben starten müssen. Die Hilfestellungen sollen dem Wohle der einzelnen Person dienen und gleichzeitig zum Nutzen der Allgemeinheit sein.
